Answer:

M(5,-3), N(-3,-3) MN=8 To divide MN into 4 equal parts we need three points A,B, and C Length of  MA=AB=BC=CN=8/4=2 M and are having same Y coordinate so the line is parallel to X axis.N is on left side of M. A=(5,-3)-(2,0) =(3,-3) B=(3,-3)-{2,0)=(1,-3) C=(1,-3)-(2,0)=(-1,-3) You can verify the answers by calculating the distances to observe MA=AB=BC=CN=2

Answer:

plot the point in Cartesian plane and join them .

PQ is parallel to X - axis

measure the length 0f PQ ____________________

PQ = 5+3 = 8 unit

mid point M is at destance of 4 units from each end and destance of M from x-axis is same at that P and Q i.e 4 units

therefore, coordinates of M (1,4)
