1)Plot the point:Make coordinate axis,X-axis and Y-AXIS,mark 1 cm distance on both these axis

point P(-6,2) lies in second Quadrant,as shown in attachment.

2) draw PM and PN as perpendicular to x-axis and y-axis respectively:

From P make a straight line towards -X-AXIS and Y-AXIS.As soon as these lines meet these axes respectively ,put the point M and N respectively.

3) Coordinates of M(-6,0)

Coordinates of N(0,2)
