The points form a right angled triangle
Area of triangle = 1/2 * base * height
= 1/2 * 8 * 4
= 16 sq cm

Answer:

Triangle is obtained by joining in points & area of triangle is 16 unit²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Points A( -3 , 0 ) , B( 5 , 0 ) , C( 0 , 4 )

To find: Area of figure obtained by joining them

After plotting given points.

Figure obtained is attached.

We get Triangle by joining these points.

Area of Triangle =\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height

Base, AB = 5 + 3 = 8 unit

Height, CO = 4 unit

Area of Triangle =\frac{1}{2}\times8\times4

                           = 4 × 4

                           = 16  unit²

Therefore, Triangle is obtained by joining in points & area of triangle is 16 unit²
