Answer:

a1/a2= b1/b2notequal to c1/c2

0/3=-1/4 not equal 2/-1

Given points are not collinear

Given: a(0,3), b(-1,4) and c(2,-1)

To find: We need to check if given points are collinear or not

Solution:

Collinear points: The three or more points that lie on the same straight line are called collinear points.

If given points are lie on same line then

The slope of ab must be equal to the slope of bc

As we know slope of a line joining with (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂)  = (y₂-y₁) / (x₂-x₁)

⇒ Slope of ab = (4-3) / (- 1 - 0) = 1/-1 = -1

⇒ Slope of bc =  (-1 - 4) / (2 -(-1)) = -5/3

Here Slope of ab \neq Slope of bc

Therefore, given points are not collinear
