As per question :- Coordinate are A(1,1) , B(-1,5), C(7,9) , D(9,5)
with these coordinates the equations of the lines formed are -
Equation of AB - y= -2x + 3
Equation of BC - 2y= x + 11
Equation of CD - y= -2x + 23
Equation of AD - 2y = X + 1
From the above equations we can deduce that lines AB and BC are perpendicular , lines CD and AD are perpendicular, lines AB and CD are parallel, lines BC and AD are parallel. Thus the quadrilateral formed from the coordinates ABCD is rectangular.
So, it's a rectangle.
Now, the mid point or intersection point of the diagonals is - (4,5) which lies in the first quadrant.
