We plot the points in the graph paper.

We find three points 0 (0, 0), A (4, 0), B (0, 4).

Now, the triangle OAB is a right angle triangle, whose

base = OA = 4 units

height = OB = 4 units

So, the area of the triangle

= 1/2 × base × height

= (1/2 × 4 × 4) unit²

= 8 units
