Momentum is defined as the product of Force to Velocity. In case the body is in motion then the velocity will be equal to the rate of change of velocity (Difference between final and initial velocity).

Explanation:

When plotting momentum on the x-axis and time on the y-axis it is obvious that we are plotting the rate of change of momentum against the change in time. So, the graph that will be plotted on x and y axis will reflect the rate of change of momentum to the change in time.

If the slope of the graph increase from 0 to higher value with respect to time, then it would mean that the momentum of the object is increasing with respect to time. if the slope of the graph decreases then it means that the change in momentum with respect to time is also decreasing.

In the first case (when slope increases) the momentum of the object also increases, while in the second case (if the slope decreases) then the momentum of the object also decreases.

Further again, if the slope is a straight line, then the increase or decrease of the momentum is consistent with respect to time. such that it is called as uniform momentum.
