Cost of one table = 1125 Rs  

Explanation:

Let the cost of one chair be x  

Let the cost of one table be y  

then, 4x + 2y = 2500     (Eq. 1)  

and,  6x + 5y = 6000     (Eq. 2)  

Multiply (Eq. 1) by 3 and (Eq. 2) by 2  

So we get,  

12x + 6y = 7500

12x + 10y = 12000

Subtract the equations above  

12c + 6t - 12c - 10t = 7500 - 12000  

Therfore, -4y = -4500  

y = 4500/4 = 1125 Rs.  

so x = 62.5 Rs
