Answer:

3.5, 4.5, 9.5, 3.5

In order to find the unknown four numbers , we assume 4 letters

a, b, c, d

sum of two numbers is 8

a + b = 8 -------- (1)

difference of two numbers is 6

c - d = 6 ---------- (2)

Sum of first and third number is 13

a + c = 13 --------(3)

Sum of second and forth number is 8

b + d = 8 ---------(4)

Add equation (1) + (2) + (3) + (4)

(a+b) + (c-d) + (a+c) + (b+d)= 8 + 6 + 13 + 8

2a + 2b + 2c = 35

a + b + c = 35/2 = 17.5

We know that, a + b = 8 from equation (1)

8 + c = 17.5

c = 9.5 or  \frac{19}{2}

From equation (3)

a + 9.5 = 13

a = 3.5 or  \frac{7}{2}

From equation 1

a + b = 8

3.5 + b = 8

b = 4.5 or  \frac{9}{2}

From equation (4)

b + d = 8

4.5 + d = 8

d = 3.5 or  \frac{7}{2}
