1. In some organisms like bacteria, the nuclear region of the cell may be poorly defined due to the absence of a nuclear membrane. Such an undefined nuclear region containing only nucleic acids is called a nucleoid.

2. Lysosomes are known as ‘ suicidal bags ’ and ‘ autophagic vesicles ’ which helps in digestion of damaged or dead cells. In it's absence, there will be no mechanism for the disposal of the waste materials.

3. Membrane biogenesis is the formation of the cell membrane with the help of lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, water etc.

4. Osmosis is defined as a special kind of diffusion of solvent from solution of lower concentration to solution of higher concentration through a semipermeable membrane.
