Area of shaded region = area of big circle - area of small circle

Radius of small circle = 4 cm

Radius of big circle = 5 cm

Area of shaded region= πR^2-πr^2

= π[R^2-r^2]

Area= π[25-16]

Area= 3.14× 9

Area=28.26 Answer....

area \: of \: circle = 2\pi \: r \\ 2 \times 3.14 \times 5 \\ 30.40 cm \\  \\  area \: of \: second \: circle = 2\pi \: r \\ 2 \times 3.14 \times 4 \\ 25.00cm \\ area \: of \: sheaded \: portion = 30.40 - 25.00 \\  = 5.40cm
