Because if he planted rice every time then the yield would become poorer every time because the rice plant would need the same nutrients every time and the soil would have been drained of the required nutrients. And as ground nut is a leguminous plant, therefore it's ribosomes(cyanobacteria or blue green algae) will fix nitrogen into the soil and will make the soil more fertile there if he sows rice after it the yield will make much more profit.
