1) 4x+2x=180° (on a straight line)
,6x=180°
x=30°
2) Given a-b= 80°
a+b=180° (on a straight line)
Simultaneous equation-
a-b=80
a+b=180
-------------
2a= 260
a=130°

a-b=80
130-b=80
-b=80-130
b=50°

3) 5y+2y+3y= 180°
10y=180
y=18°

4) 6x+30+4x=180
10x=150°
x=15°

5) As x=45°
z=45° (Vertically opposite)
x+u=180
45+u=180
U=135°
Similarly, y=135°

1. 4x + 2x = 90
    6x = 90
    x= 15
2.  this is a simultaneous equation.
    a+b=90
    a-b=80

     a= 90-b ---(1)

     90-b-b= 80
     -2b= -10
       b= 5

        a= 90-5
         a= 85

3. 5y+3y+2y=90
    10y=90
     y=9
4.  6x+40 + 4x = 90
     10x= 50
      x=5.
5. if x= 45, z= 45
   and y=u
    y+x+u+z= 360
    y+u+45+45 =360
    y+y+90=360 (because y=u)
    2y=270
    y=135

x=45
y=135
u=135
z=45
