(1) Given mass of CH4=80g

molecular mass of CH4=12+4(1)

=12+4=16gmole^-1

Hence,

given mass

no.s of moles in 80g of CH4= -------------------

molar mass

80g

= -------------------

16gmole^-1

=5 moles

(2) Given,no.s of molecules=6.022×10^24mole

molecular mass of SO2=32+2(16)

=64gmole^-1

Hence,mass of SO2=6.022×10^24×64gmole^-1

=385.4×10^24g

=3.85×10^26g

We know that 1L=1000g

So,3.85×10^26g=3.85×10^26×10^-3L

=3.85×10^23L.
