Answer:

HEY, GUD EVENING DUDE .........

Explanation:

R1 = 3 OHM

R2 = 2 OHM

R3 = 6 OHM

R4 = 4 OHM SINCE R1/R3=R2/R4=1/2

THIS CIRCUIT REPRESENTS A BALANCED WHEATSTON'S BRIDGE.

THEREFORE NO CURRENT PASSES THROUGH 30 OHMS

R NET :

R1 AND R2 SERIES = 3+2= 5 OHMS

R3 AND R4 SERIES = 6+4 = 10 OHMS

BUT THESE TWO ARE PARALLEL = 5*10/(5+10)

                                                         = 50/15

                                                         = 10/3 OHMS.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Answer:

Equivalent resistance = 3 Ω

Solution;

In the reduced circuit diagram , it is clear that ; 5 Ω , 10 Ω and 30 Ω are in parallel combination.

Thus,

=> 1/R.eq. = 1/5 + 1/10 + 1/30

=> 1/R.eq. = (6 + 3 + 1)/30

=> 1/R.eq. = 10/30

=> 1/R.eq. = 1/3

=> R.eq. = 3 Ω

For explaination , please refer to the attachment .
