The question is based on concept of Arithmetic Progression
Volume of 1st step (V)
20× 1/2 × 1/4
Volume of 2nd step (V)
20 × 1/4 × (1/4+1/4)
20× 1/4 × (1/2)
Total volume = V₁+V₂ +V₃ ...... V₂₀
=> 20×1/2 ×( 1/4 + 1/2 + 3/4....)
=> 10(Sum of AP with a = 1/4 and l = 20×1/4)
=> Sum of n term of AP = n/2(a+l)
=> 10(10(a+l))
=> 100(21/4)
=> 525 m³
