Step-by-step explanation:

Solution:-

  • Profit on per bag of Onion is ₹100
  • Loss on per bag of Potato is₹30

Condition-1

Now, as if he sells 30 bags of Onion and 50 bags of Potatoes

So,

Profit on Onion=30×100=₹3000

Loss on Potato=50×30=₹1500

Profit make=₹3000-₹1500

=₹1500

Condition-2

Now as if he sells 60 bags of Potatoes and 30 bags of Onion

So,

Profit on Onion=30×100=₹3000

Loss on Potato=60×30=₹1800

Profit =₹3000-₹1800

=₹1200

Condition-3

Now he sold 40 bags of Potatoes and no profit or loss is made

So,

Loss on Potato=40×30=₹1200

Now no profit no loss means profit should be equal to₹1200

100×x=1200

x=1200/100

x=12

So, 12 bags should be sold for no profit no loss

Hope this helps you dear friend
