since x+1 is the root of the equation x²-3ax+3a-7

it implies -1 is the zero of the polynomial ...so by substituting ,we get

(-1)²-3(a)(-1)+3a-7=0

1+3a+3a-7=0

6a=6

a=1

I hope this will help u ;)

dhathri123: thank u ;)

Given,
x+1 is a factor of x²-3ax+3a-7
then -1 is a zero of the polynomial
p(x)=x²-3ax+3a-7
⇒0=(-1)²-3a(-1)+3a-7
⇒0=1+3a+3a-7
⇒6a-6=0
⇒6a=6
⇒a=6/6
 ∴ a=1

Hope it helps u :-)
