(a) The hot soup transfers it's heat from itself to the cup; and hence when you hold the cup it feels hot in temperature.

(b) When vegetables are cooked in a pan the heat is being transferred from the stove to the pan, and when the pan heats up its cooks the vegetables put upon it.

(c) during a very hot day, if you put chocolate in your bag, it will melt. This is because the sun's heat will enter the bag, basically the heat is transferred to the bag. Now the heat cannot escape and it gets really hot withinn the bag and hence the chocolate kept in it will melt.

(d) the heat given out by the microwave is absorbed or transferred to the food put in it.
