22) (i) The student scored 105 marks in Hindi.

(ii) Marks obtained in Mathematics = 135

Marks obtained in Hindi = 105

Difference = 135 – 105 = 30

Thus, 30 more marks were obtained by the student in Mathematics than in Hindi.

(iii)The sum of marks in Social Science and Mathematics = 97.5 + 135 = 232.5

The sum of marks in Science and Hindi = 120 + 105 = 225

∴, the sum of the marks in Social Science and Mathematics is more than that in Science and Hindi.

13) (i) Total number of marbles =9

Number of white marble =2

Required probability =2/9

.

(ii) Total number of Marbles :- 9

Blue Marbles

=3

P(Blue)=3/9

=1/3

(iii) total no of marbles : 9

no of marbles which are red : 4

p(red)= 4/9

14) (i) Prime numbers = 2, 3 and 5

Favourable number of events = 3

Probability that it will be a prime number = 3/6 = 1/2

(ii) Numbers lying between 2 and 6 = 3, 4 and 5

Favourable number of events = 3

Probability that a number between 2 and 6 = 3/6 = 1/2

(iii) Odd numbers = 1, 3 and 5

Favourable number of events = 3

Probability that it will be an odd number = 3/6 = 1/2

15)Number of red balls =3

Number of black balls =5

Total number of balls =5+3=8

(i) Probability of drawing red balls =

TotalNumberofballs

Numberofredballs

= 8/3

(ii) Probability of drawing black balls =

TotalNumberofballs

Numberofblackballs

= 8/5

16Total number of marbles in the box =5+8+4=17

i) P(red) = no. of red marbles/total number of marbles

P(red) = 17/5

ii) P(white) = no. of white marbles/total number of marbles

P(white) = 17/8

iii) P(green) = no. of green marbles/total number of marbles

P(green) = 17/4

P(not green) =1− P(green) = 17/13

17) Probability of getting red ball

=4/6

=2/3

Probability of getting yellow ball

=2/6

=1/3

∴ Probability of getting a red ball is greater than probability of getting a yellow ball.
