Let R1 be 4 ohms
R2 be 3 ohms
R3 be 6 ohms
R2 and R3 are in parallel combination..
1/Rp=1/R2+1/R3
1/Rp=1/3+1/6
1/Rp=2+1/6
1/Rp=3/6
1/Rp=1/2
Rp=2 ohms
(a)Therefore,Total resistance=R= 4+2=6 ohms.
(b)Total current in the circuit=I=V/R
I=12/6=2Ampere.
(c)Potential difference across 4 ohms resistor=V=IR
V=2×4=8Volts.
