Step-by-step explanation:

given: 3^-n+3^1-n/3^-n-3^2-n

need to prove: -1/2

by solving,...

we know that a formula: a^-n= 1/a^n

so, 3^-n= 1/3^n

also, 3^1-n= 3^1.3^-n= 3/3^n

3^2-n= 3^2. 3^-n= 9/3^n

by substituting all the values in question as stated....we have...

= 1/3^n+3/3^n/1/3^n- 9/3^n

By taking LCM at numerator and denominator...

LCM= 3^n

4/3^n/-8/3^n

by cancelling 3^n in both denominators...

we have: 4/-8= -1/2

so answer: -1/2

Hence proved......
