An object of height 4 cm is placed at a distance of 15 cm in front of concave lens of power, -10 D. Find the size of the image.

Explanation:

Given,

h₀=4 cm

u= -15 cm

f= 100/-10 cm= -10 cm

m=f/f+u= -10/-10-15 = -10/-25= -2/5

Since m=height of image/ height of object

  -2/5= x/4

 -8/5 cm=x

Therefore height of image is 1.6 cm and below the principal axis.
