final velocity of bullet, v = 0 m/s

acceleration of bullet , a = - 200 m/s²

time taken by bullet , t = 4 sec

using formula, v = u + at

⇒0 = u + (-200) × 4

⇒u = 800 m/s

Therefore the velocity of bullet right before it hits the tree is 800 m/s.
