v. \huge\boxed{Answer}

=> a + b

=> (2 + √3)/(√3 + 1) + (2 - √3)/(√3 - 1)

=> (2 + √3)(√3 - 1) + (2 - √3)(√3 + 1)/ (√3)² - (1)²

=> (2√3 - 2 + 3 - √3 + 2√3 + 2 - 3 - √3) / (3 - 1)

=> (√3 + 1 + √3 - 1) / 2

=> 2√3 / 2

=> √3
