Artificial insemination

Explanation:

Artificial insemination is a technique in which sperm is directly inserted into a woman's cervix, fallopian tubes, or uterus

The most common method is called intrauterine insemination (IUI) when a doctor places the sperm in the uterus

Fertilization occurs when the sperm and ovum both reach the isthmus-ampullary junction both at the same time, otherwise there occurs no fertilization

Hence the success rate of  crossing mature male and female animals is fairly low
