land routes are very much important in this century n it was important too in the 18th or before it but there are many other routes to travel but in ancient time roadways were only useful to then they had no option rather then going by road ways but now in this world many facilites are been provided to the passangers such as railways,waterway,airways but they are costly most probably the air is too costly for a common man to travel and if we go to see the rates the cheapest mode of transportation of people and goods is railways if its urgent then we can refer airways rather than waterways or railways
