Present age of son= x
Present age of man= x+28
After 10 years
Age of son=2(x+10) As it says "twice" and "after 10 years"
Age of man=x+28+10
Therefore:
According to the problem,
X+28+10= 2(x+10)
X +38= 2x + 20
38-20= 2x - x
18= x
Therefore,
Present age of son= x= 18
Present age of man= x+28 = 18+28= 46
