ANSWER: 5

Mistake in question:

I think that it should be K_{a} in place of K_{b}

SOLUTION:

Reaction: NaC₃H₅O₃ + HCl ---> C₃H₆O₃ + NaCl

at t = 0...------1----------------x₀-------------0------------0

As HCl is a strong acid, therefore it will react completely.

at t = t eq...--(1-x₀)--------(x₀-x₀)---------x₀-------------x₀

p^{H}=p^{K_{a} }+log\frac{(salt)}{(acid)} \\

=> 3.77 = 3.89 + log\frac{1-x_{0} }{x_{0} }\\=> \frac{x_{0} }{1-x_{0} }=10^{0.08}\\=> \frac{x_{0} }{1-x_{0} } = 1.2\\=>x_{0}=0.55\\

=>0.55×10³ ml = 110× x

=> x = \frac{550}{110}\\ =5

I HOPE IT HELPS YOU...!!!
