Given that
x=4/9,y=-7/12,z=-2/3
To prove
x-(y-z) not equal to (x-y) - z
Put the given values
LHS =4/9-{(-7/12)-(-2/3)}
4/9-{-7/12+2/3}
=4/9-{-7+8}/12
=4/9-{1/12}
=4/9-1/12
=(48-9)/108
=39/108=1/2
RHS ={(4/9)-(-7/12)}-(-2/3)
={4/9+7/12}+2/3
={48+63}/108+2/3
=111/108+2/3
=(111+72)/108
=183/108
=61/36
SO here LHS and RHS not Equal
