The force applied to move a body depends upon effective force applied on it including its weight. As effective weight in the case of pulling is less than in the pushing, less force is required in pulling. Hence, it is easier to pull than to push.

when we push it then the force divides into two components when is along the motion of direction and other is towards the sky, so the component which towards the sky decrease the gravitational force acting over the body due to which frictional force decrease which makes it easier for roller to move
while when we pull it then the components are towards the motion and other towards the ground which increases frictional force.
