$Sin\:30°\:=\: \frac{1}{2}$

Substituting the value in the above question

${cos}^{2} 45 \degree + 3 {sec}^{2} 45 \degree - {sin}^{2}30 \degree$

$\leadsto {( \frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} } )}^{2} + 3( { \sqrt{2} )}^{2} - { (\frac{1}{2} )}^{2}$

$\leadsto \frac{1}{2} + 3 \times 2 - \frac{1}{4}$

$\leadsto \frac{1}{2} + 6 - \frac{1}{4}$

$\leadsto \frac{2 + 24 - 1}{4}$

$\leadsto \frac{25}{4}$

OR

$\leadsto6.25$
