Question :

Ashu divided his property among his sons & one daughter, in the ratio of children they had. They had 2,3,2 children respectively. How much will be the Shae of each son or daughter out of his total property worth Rs. 7,35,000.

Before, finding the answer. Let's find out on how we can find the answer.

  • First, we must add all the ratio.
  • Then, we must divide the total ratio with the total cost of property.
  • At last, we must multiply the given number with the divided number.

________________

Given :

  • Ratio = 2:3:2
  • Total Worth of Property = Rs. 735000

To find :

  • share of each

Solution :

Total Ratio = 2:3:2

= 2 + 3 + 2

= 7

 \sf 1 \: part =  \dfrac{total \: worth}{total \: ratio}  \sf \:  =  \dfrac{735000}{7}

 \sf = 105000

Hence, 1 part is 105000.

------------

First Son = 2 × (1 part)

= 2 × 105000

= 210000

Hence, the First Son will get Rs. 210000.

-------

Second Son = 3 × (1 part).

= 3 × 105000

= 315000

Hence, the Second Son will get Rs. 315000.

-------

Daughter = 2 × (1 part)

= 2 × 105000

= 210000

Hence, the Daughter will get Rs. 210000.

★ Verification :

Total Cost = First Son + Second Son + Daughter

= 210000 + 315000 + 210000

735000 = 735000

Hence,

L.H.S = R.H.S.
