3. Innermost zone is the zone of no combustion. It is also called as dark zone which is formed around the wick of the candle flame.

4. The middle zone is yellow and luminous because As it is an oxygen-depleted zone, insufficient oxygen exists to burn all of the wax vapor. As such, partial combustion of wax takes place. The zone also contains unburnt carbon vapor.

5. It is blue coloured because complete combustion takes place in this part due to sufficient amount of oxygen. It is the hottest part of the flame
