3( {2}^{x}   + 1) -  {2}^{x + 2}  + 5 = 0

 =  > 3 \times  {2}^{x}  + 3 -  {2}^{x}  {2}^{2}  + 5 = 0

let \:  {2}^{x}  = y

 =  > 3y - 4y + 8 = 0

 =  >  - y  + 8 = 0

 =  >  - y =  - 8

 =  > y = 8

 =  >  {2}^{x}  = 8

 =  >  {2}^{x}  =  {2}^{3}

 =  > x = 3
