To prove : BD = AC
Proof : /_1 = /_2 -(i)
and, /_3 = /_4 -(ii)
Adding (i) and (ii)
/_1 + /_3 = /_2 + /_4
/_DAB = /_CBA -(iii)
In ∆DAB and ∆CBA
BD = AC (Given)
/_DAB = /_CBA (From equation (iii))
AB = BA (Common)
∆DAB ~= ∆CBA
Therefore, BD = AC (CPCT)
