Answer:

Here, The value of CosA in the given question is 15/17.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, As per our given question,

As Given figure is a right triangle,

So, By applying pythagoras theorem, we get,

=H^2=P^2+B^2

=B^2=H^2-P^2

=B^2=(17)^2-(8)^2

=B^2=289-64

=B^2=225

By doing square root on both sides, we get,

=B=15cm

Now, As asked in question,

=CosA=B/h

=CosA=15/17

So, The value of CosA in the given question =15/17.

Thank you.

Answer:

FIRST FIND THE ADJACENT SIDE BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

WHICH WILL BE EQUAL TO

H²=B²+P²

17²=ADJACENT ²+8²

289-64=ADJACENT ²

ADJACENT SIDE=√225

ADJACENT SIDE=15cm

NOW COS A=ADJACENT SIDE/HYPOTENUSE

COS A=15/17
