Let the number of boys be 8x and number of girls be 3x,

According to the question, number of girls is 375, but from above number of girls is 3x.

Therefore comparing the number of girls from above.

= > 3x = 375

= > x = 375 / 3

= > x = 125

Now substituting the value of x in the number of boys.

number of boys = 8x

number of boys = 8( 125 )

number of boys = 1000

Therefore the number of boys in the school is 1000.
