In the figure ,given that

The middle region is a square whose side is 7cm.

So,area of the square = (side)²

= (7)²=49 sq.cm

Also,given that their r 4 ∆ which r connected each side of d square and touches at perimeter of d circle.

In each ∆,base =height =7cm.

So, area of a = 1/2 × base × height

= 0.5×7×7= 24.5 sq.cm

Now,we calculate area of circle.

Hera radius 'r'= 21/2 cm

Area of a circle= πr²

= (22/7)×(21/2)²

= 3.142×(10.5)²=346.4055

:. Area of shaded region = Area of circle - {4× area of + Area of square}

= 346.4055 - {4×24.5+49}

=346.4055 - {98+49}

=199.4055 sq.cm
