acceleration is the change in velocity.
as velocity is a vector quantity, it will change if its magnitude, direction or both are changed.

in uniform circular motion, the speed is constant but its direction is changing continuously as it is moving in circle.

as velocity is changing,it produces acceleration, that is called angular acceleration.

Object moving in the uniform circular motion it has constant speed but ie its magnitude is same but its direction is changing. But in uniform linear motion object is moving in linear path with same speed in linear direction ie no change in noth magnitude and direction. Hence uniform circular motion is also called acc motion.
