HEY DEAR

HERE'S UR ANSWER:

OBSERVATION:

The hydrogen chloride and Ammonia start to diffuse bcuz of the kinetic energy. At point X,both the gases meet and white fumes can be seen.

Ammonia being less dense travels at a higher rate and reaches point X where it combines with HCl.

HOW DO DIFFUSION,EVAPORATION AND COMPRESSION OF GASES BEHAVE IN TERMS OF CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE?

DIFFUSION:-

Higher the temperature of a gas, more faster it will diffuse. This is bcuz it gains more energy when heated, which helps it move at a faster rate.Lower the temperature of a gas, slower it will diffuse. This is bcuz less energy is being supplied to the gas.

EVAPORATION:-

Although evaporation can occur at any temperature,it is said that when the temperature is high,a gas evaporates much faster. This is bcuz of the same reason as diffusion. The gas molecules gain kinetic energy and escape to the surroundings.

COMPRESSION:-

When the temperature of a gas is increased, the gas molecules start to move closer and hence compress.Higher the temperature, more the gas will be compressed.

HOW DOES THE RATE OF DIFFUSION CHANGE WITH:

1)Density of liquid:-

A liquid with a higher density will always diffuse at a lower rate than that of a lower density. This is bcuz of the Mr values or the atomic mass of the liquid.

A heavier liquid has a higher mass so it takes more time to diffuse and opposite.

2)TEMPERATURE:-

Here, the gas diffusion rule sis followed.Liquids which r given a higher temperature will obviously diffuse faster bcuz of more energy and opposite.
