Now, \displaystyle \mathsf{\int_{0}^{\frac{\pi}{4}} cos2x\:dx}

= \displaystyle \mathsf{[\frac{sin2x}{2}]_{0}^{\frac{\pi}{4}}}

= \displaystyle \mathsf{\frac{sin\frac{\pi}{2}}{2}-\frac{sin0}{2}}

= 1 - 0

= 1

Rule :

\displaystyle \mathsf{\int_{a}^{b} cosmx\:dx=[\frac{sinmx}{m}]_{a}^{b}}

where a and b are limits.
