The distance between two stations is 300 km.
Let the speed of first motorcycle be x km/hr.
Given that, the speed of second motorcycle is x+7 km/hr.
After 2 hours,
Distance covered by first motorcycle = 2x km ( time × speed = distance)
Similarly distance covered by second motorcycle = 2(x+7) km
So from the question,
2x + 2(x+7) + 34 = 300
4x + 14 + 34 = 300
4x + 48 = 300
4x = 252
x = 63 km/hr.
So speed of first motorcycle is 63 km/hr.
Speed of second motorcycle is 63 + 7 = 70 km/hr.
Thank u.
Hope this helps you.
