Reason - When we move left to right in a period the atomic radius decreases because of addition of new electron thus increasing the electrostatic force and decreasing atomic radius.
Smallest atomic radii- Oxygen

2.Gold is a metal that occurs in free state because it is one of the least reactive metals.
3. The brown colour liquid is bromine water.
Reason - Methane is saturated compound which does not decolourise the colour of bromine water but unsaturated compound such as ethene decolourises it.

4. An aqeuous solution of ammonium chloride is acidic in nature because it is an acidic salt in which the base is ammonium hydroxide which is a weak base and acid is hydrogen chloride which is a strong acid. Since the salt is made up of a weak base and strong acid it's aqeuous solution is acidic.
