Answer:

(iii) 16

pythagorean triplet

Three natural numbers m,n and p are said to form a pythagorean triplet (m,n,p),

if m²+n²=p²

for every natural number m>1,

we have (2m,m²-1,m²+1) as pythagorean triplet

here,

m=16

2m=16×2=32

m²-1=16²-1=256-1=255

m²-1=16²+1=256+1=257

therefore,

required pythagorean triplet

(32,255,256)

(iv) 18

pythagorean triplet

three natural numbers m,n and p are said to form a pythagorean triplet (m,n,p)

if m²+n²=p²

for every natural number m>1,

we have (2m,m²-1,m²+1) as pythagorean triplet

here,

m=18

2m=2×18=36

m²-1=18²-1=324-1=323

m²+1=18²+1=324+1=325

therefore,

required pythagorean triplet

(36,323,325)
