(a) All the new plants will grow in a small limited space, and this will not allow the new plants to spread their roots properly.

(b) All the new plants have to compete for water and minerals present in the soil, which is limited.

(c) As the new plants are growing under the parent tree, they won't get enough sunlight for photosynthesis, and lastly they may not survive. ..
