1)
 \frac{ {7}^{48} -  {7}^{47}  -  {7}^{46}  }{41}   =  {7}^{x}  \\  {7}^{46} ( \frac{ {7}^{2}  - 7 - 1)}{41}  =  {7}^{x}  \\  {7}^{46} ( \frac{41}{41} ) =  {7}^{x}  \\ so \: by \: compairing \\  \\  x = 46

2)
4 \sqrt{3x + 1}  = 2 \\  \sqrt{3x + 1}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\ on \: squaring \: both \: sides \\  \\ 3x + 1 =  \frac{1}{4}  \\ 12x + 4 = 1 \\ 12x =  - 3 \\ x =  -  \frac{1}{4}

Hope it will help you.

1.

[7^48 - 7^47 - 7^46]/41 = 7^x

⇒ 7^46 * (7^2 -7^1 -1) / 41 = 7^x

⇒ 7^46 * (49-7-1)/41 = 7^x

⇒ 7^46 * 41/41 = 7^x

⇒7^x=7^46

Since bases are equal powers are also equal

So, x=46

2.

4√(3x+1) = 2

⇒ √(3x+1) = 2/4 = 1/2

squaring on both sides

⇒ [√(3x+1) ]² = 1/2²

⇒ 3x+1 = 1/4

⇒ 3x+1 = 1/4

⇒3x = -3/4

x = -1/4
