Here x = asecr +btanr
y = atanr + bsecr
So x² = a²sec²r + 2ab secr tanr + b²tan²r
And y² = a²tan²r + 2ab secr tanr + b²sec²r
Now, x² - y²= a²(sec²r - tan²r) +b²(tan²r - sec²r)
= a²(1) - b²(sec²r - tan²r)
= a² - b²
Here x = asecr +btanr
