Vertex of Triangle

(p + 1 , 1)  , (2p + 1 , 3)  & (2p + 2 , 2p)

Area of Triangle

= (1/2) |  (p + 1) ( 3 - 2p)  + (2p + 1)(2p - 1)  +  (2p + 2)(1 - 3) |

= (1/2) |   -2p² + p + 3  + 4p² - 1  -4p - 4 |

=  (1/2) |   2p² - 3p - 2  |  

39  .  p   =  ± 1

=> area =  (1/2) |  ±3  |     = 3/2 sq units

40  .  p   =  ± 3

=> area =  (1/2) |  25 |   or   (1/2) |  7 |  

= 25/2  sq unit or 7/2    sq unit

41   p   =  ± 3

=> area =  (1/2) | - 2|  =  1  sq unit

A ( 1 , 3) , B (2, 4)  & C ( 3, 2) has centroid

= ( 1 +  2 + 3)/3  , ( 3 + 4 + 2)/2

= 2 , 3
