firstly find the area of square .. which is 10 ×10 =100cm

then, area of the circle (unshaded part) which is

\pi \: r {2}

= 22/7 × 3.5 ×3.5 = 38.5 cm sq.

now subtract the area of circle from area of whole square... 100 - 38.5 cm = 61.5 cm
